At The Groom Room, we’re all about atmosphere – so settling in the heart of the English Riviera came to no surprise.

Located in its modern high street, we apply Torquay’s fusion of classic and contemporary right into our own shop. With the 800-year-old Torre Abbey, prehistoric caves, and the new Rock Walk on our doorstep - when it comes to a grooming atmosphere, our Torquay shop has it covered.

You'll settle in with our laid-back vibes, have a great chat with our barbers, and enjoy a true classic barbering experience

Directions to Our Torquay Barbershop

Past Abbey Sands beach, take a left onto Shedden Hill Road and continue until you approach the Lower Union Lane multistory car park. We’re then only a 5-minute walk from the car park down to the bottom at  5 Abbey Road.

The Abbey Road bus stop (TQ2 5NA) is only a 2 minute walk from our shop – with links via the 12, 31, and 35 services every 20 minutes.

Coming from Newton Abbot and Exeter, simply hop off in Torquay town centre and continue down Union Street and make a right turn onto Abbey Road before the main roundabout.

If you’re heading from the Torquay harbour, follow Fleet Street until you reach the main roundabout. You’ll see us straight away on the right-hand side of Abbey Road.

If you’re walking down Union Street, keep going until you reach the post office roundabout and make a right turn onto Abbey Road. We’re the first shop on the right.
